This presentation is an interactive discussion covering the reality of drug and alcohol exposure in adolescence, the latest trends in drugs of abuse among adolescents, the psychological and neurological impacts of adolescent drug abuse, abuse ecology and comorbidity, and core methods for demand reduction.  The presentation is customizable for 30 minute, 1 hour, 2 hour CEU, and 4 hour CEU formats.

Drugs of Abuse (Train the Trainer)

This presentation is an interactive discussion designed to train school resource officers, school counselors, and other individuals working with youth in giving anti-drug presentations to teenagers.  Participants who complete the training will receive PowerPoint presentations designed for 15 minute and 45 minute presentations.  4 hour CEU format.

Drug Interdiction for School Administrators

This presentation is an interactive discussion of the legalities of drug interdiction programs in schools, search of students by non-police school personnel, identification of indicators of nervous behavior, and positive impacts of a proactive stance on drugs in schools.  The presentation is customizable for 2 hour CEU and 4 hour CEU formats.

Anger Management & Behavioral Intervention in Schools

This presentation is an interactive discussion of legal issues pertaining to the intersection of the Texas Health & Safety Code and the Texas Education Code, the fundamentals of anger management and psychological crisis, behavioral intervention strategies, and non-clinical assessment of violence risk factors.  2 hour CEU format.

Crisis Intervention for First Responders

This presentation is an interactive discussion designed for first responders covering psychological crisis, basic crisis intervention strategies, active listening skills, and strategies for stress management.  The presentation is customizable for 4 hour CEU and 8 hour CEU formats.

Mental Health & School Safety

This presentation is an interactive discussion of mental health statistics, factors involved in risk of violence, characteristics of school shooters, protective measures for schools, and partnership strategies with mental health professionals and law enforcement to mitigate risk of violence in schools.  2 hour CEU format.

Arrest & Search for Private Security

This presentation is designed for private security officers engaged in assignments where they are more likely to affect arrests for on-view offenses.  We will build upon the basic fundamentals taught in the Level II and Level III licensure courses and expand understanding of the security officer’s authority to arrest and authority to search individuals.  The presentation is offered in a 4 hour CEU formats and can be paired with Ethics & Multiculturalism for a full day of training.

Ethics & Multiculturalism

This presentation is an interactive discussion of ethical and multicultural issues faced by private security officers in today’s dynamic market.  Topics include ethical decision making, common ethical dilemmas in private security, stages of career development, burnout prevention, understanding bias, understanding prejudice, impartial professionalism, criminal profiling vs. stereotyping, introduction to cultures found in north Texas, and introduction to mental illness.  The presentation is offered in a 4 hour CEU format and can be paired with Arrest & Search for a full day of training.

Static Pistol Marksmanship

This hands-on course is designed for those looking to move beyond the basics of firearm handling and provide essential skills needed in real world encounters.  Topics include an introduction to handgun ballistics and ammunition selection; reinforcement of fundamentals of handgun marksmanship; drawing from the holster; low and high ready positions; low-light conditions; and alternative shooting positions including kneeling, prone, behind wall cover, behind vehicle cover, and downed arm.  200 rounds of ammunition is recommended for each student.  This course is provided in an 8 hour format and can be offered on indoor or outdoor gun ranges.

Dynamic Pistol Marksmanship

This high-speed course is designed for those who have completed the static pistol marksmanship course (or similar training) and desire to continue pushing their abilities to the breaking point in a controlled learning environment.  Topics include speed reloading, tactical reloading, rapid engagement of multiple targets, close-contact shooting, precision-distance shooting, and moving while shooting.  250 rounds of ammunition is recommended for each student.  This course is provided in an 8 hour format and can be offered on indoor or outdoor gun ranges.
